Hi all. I don't know if you have noticed, but after a while our teams get more and more uncharacteristic, player nationality wise. I mean, once you start renewing your team with some of the free agents that become available, or by buying and selling players on the transfer market, the team gets less and less "national", to a point where one may not have a single player of their nationality.
I know that school players could solve the problem, but 1) they're too expensive; and 2) they're only available to levels 4 and above. Why not set a rule for the free agents, where half to 2/3 of them would be the same nationality of the team, and the rest would be random nationality (as happens now)? I know this can be done very easily by the developers, and would allow for a more realistic game. |

I differ. Free agents are supposed to be that: FREE. They're not bounded to a league or country. HEROES, being a free agent just means you're not bound to a contract, even though you're certainly bound to a nationality, as the large majority of people on the planet are... Your aim is to win cups, but with help ofAlbanian,Nigerian,Chinese etc players, it doesn't really matter. Moreover I'm for friendship between nations I want to see variety of flags ![]() Hey man, I'm also for friendship between nations! ![]() All thins being considered, I believe that having a few of the free agents being the same nationality of the team (let's say half of them) would just give us a bit more freedom to choose. Everyone who wants to have an all-foreign team can avoid buying national players, and vice-versa for the ones who want to have an all-national team. The ones (like me) who just don't want to have an completely uncharacteristic team, far appart from reality, will have the chance to get a mix of players from the free agents. See? Everyone would be happy. Also, if you look into the maths of it: let's say, for arguement's sake, that there are 200 nationalities in the game; me, I'm a level 3 player with a Base Club-2, which means I get 4 new free agents every day; the current chances of a national player coming out in the free agents is 0.01%... How is this close to reality? Not even my proposal is close to reality, but at least it's closer. Now let's say that 2/4 of my daily free agents are portuguese (since my team is portuguese). Also for arguement's sake, let's say that 1 in 20 players is worth buying in my current level (maybe 1 in 10 or 15 with weaker teams). If half of the new free agents is national, that means that, in 100 players that show up on the free agent list, chances are I'll buy 5 of those players, and that 2 or 3 will be national and 2 or 3 will be foreign. Now that would satisfy most people, wouldn't you say? There are other solutions, which could be applied to the free agents list, but also to the school players: every user would have the chance (which could be changed anytime during the game) to decide whether the list would be all-national, 50% national or 100% mixed. That way, there would be no need to come to a compromise, like the 50% solution I mentioned above. I know that any of these solutions could be easily implemented, code-wise, and are much more realistic than the current situation. But it's just an idea... ![]() |

HEROES, being a free agent just means you're not bound to a contract, even though you're certainly bound to a nationality, as the large majority of people on the planet are... I was talking "contract wise" of course. Being a FREE agent means you are not bound to a league or a country CONTRACT WISE... I mean: you can be a portuguese player looking for contracts on france or argentina. See Guille Franco (mexican free agent in spain/england)... or Cristian Vieri (italian free agent in brazil)... Hey man, I'm also for friendship between nations! ![]() I get you. My team is composed only of mexicans, spanish, 3 argentinians, 2 africans and 1 brazilian... that's made to reflect the history of the local soccer team we got here (Veracruz, Mexico). Everybody have their reasons to make the team they want... but you can't ask the developers to make the game YOU WANT... simply adapt and continue playing. All thins being considered, I believe that having a few of the free agents being the same nationality of the team (let's say half of them) would just give us a bit more freedom to choose. Everyone who wants to have an all-foreign team can avoid buying national players, and vice-versa for the ones who want to have an all-national team. You just made my point: If you want to have an All-national team you can avoid buying international players (the way you recommend everybody else do if your proposal was made into the game). Again: Everybody have their reasons to make the team they want... but you can't ask the developers to make the game YOU WANT. |

You just made my point: If you want to have an All-national team you can avoid buying international players (the way you recommend everybody else do if your proposal was made into the game). I guess you missed my post, above: if you read it carefully, you see that, statistically, the chances of a national player coming up on the free agents is very slim. A 0,01% chance, to be more exact. The chances of him being a GOOD player, worth hiring, are even slimmer. So, not much chance of building an all-national team from the free agents, is there? Now, if half of the players in the free agents list was national, there would be good chances for both those who prefer national players and those who prefer international ones, right? Again: Everybody have their reasons to make the team they want... but you can't ask the developers to make the game YOU WANT. HEROES, I don't want the developers to adapt the game to me, but to get it a little closer to reality... Besides, everyone has ideas on how to improve the game. Unfortunately, most of them are difficult to implement, because they take a significant rewriting of the code. This one doesn't. It's a very simple piece of code, which can just be added to the existing one... Still simple, but not as much as the previous idea, would be to give us the choice to select if we want either all-national players, 50% national or all-random... But it's just an idea, and I don't mean to force anyone to like it! ![]() |
