Do tactics have any effect on the outcome of the game? or is it luck? I have found no difference in the winning or losing playing competitors of roughly the same skill with the same tactics. eg. I play a specific tactic three times different from my opponents who all play the same (normal) as each other, and results are a draw, win and a loss. The losses and wins are by considerable margins though, not close at all. If the results were close it would be a different story.
And what is the max skill? 200? I'm trying to work out age:skill ratio |

It's everything depends from tactics and your players: special ability and skills that you lvl up. The max skill is 200, but from 9-th level you can buy a new coach, which can increase your skills over 200.
